Professional Background:
Piano is principal instrument that I teach. I have organ background, but do not teach it. I attended Multnomah Bible College and have worked as an accompanist since elementary school days. I have worked as an accompanist in several different school settings throughout these years since then, and am currently in the Tumwater School district at middle/ high school levels. I have been a church choir accompanist and an active participant with keyboard work in the church setting all these years. My current studio has been established for five years in my home.
Studio Information:
I welcome beginners (children or adults), transfer students and advanced. Theory is part of my lesson plan for students every week at lesson time! I work with worship music and accompanist training when students are desiring that aspect. I encourage my students to play for school events and do two recitals every calendar year (one at Christmastime and the other in early June). My lesson format is private lesson based. I participate in WMTEA Adjudications and other Chapter events/activities.
